Lovely Pear Cocktail
Pear, Gin and Marsala, who would’ve thought it.
A very, very good sweet, sour, long cocktail for gin lovers and not.
To make one cocktail you will need……
30 ml gin
15 ml Marsala
45 ml pear syrup (see pear cordial recipe with lemon and bay)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
A few thrusts angostura bitters
A branch of bay leaves
Strip lemon zest
Giraffe cocktail stirrers, optional, but shouldn’t be….
Mix gin, marsala and pear syrup over lots of ice.
Stir in lemon juice and angostura.
Serve over ice with bay leaves and a strip lemon peel and topped up with lemonade.
