The Cliftonville Dining Club

You may to may not know by now, but I have another supper club coming up shortly, (Thursday 8th & Friday 9th June) this time at a local institution, Cliftonville Bowls Club, Cliftonville, Margate.

The early summer menu (see below) is a meat and fish affair this time around, celebrating all that is seasonal with local produce sourced from local businesses and farm shops around Thanet, and I’ll be doing a little bit of foraging over the fields and beaches to add to the mix.

Elderflower and Gooseberry Cocktail


Deep-fried Runner Beans



Crab and Asparagus Soup with Brown Crab Toasts

Slow-cooked Lamb, Cockles and Anchovies with Pine Salt

Asparagus and Samphire

Gratin of Potatoes



Summer Salad of Edible Flowers, Nasturtium and Young Leaves



Poached Apricots Stuffed with Marzipan and served with

Fig Leaf ice-cream Parfait and

Walnut and Stem Ginger Macaroons
